Hi I'm Ashley

I'm from Arizona. I attended BYU-Provo. I'm currently a full-time missionary. I love theatre and biology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Ashley. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving in the Utah Provo Mission. The year before my mission I attended Brigham Young University and my current major is Biological Science Education. I love theatre and all aspects of it: acting, directing, and tech. I love my family and love spending time with them, especially my nieces and nephews!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother is a member of the LDS church, but my father is not. Despite the fact that my dad isn't a member, my mom always brought my brother and I to church with her and made sure we learned the principles and doctrines of the church. I was baptized when I was eight, like most children in the LDS church, and on occasion I would feel the Holy Ghost testify to me that this church was true. However, it wasn't until I attended seminary my freshman year of high school that I realized I had a strong testimony of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I listened to my seminary teacher teach of the church, gospel, and the Savior, I would feel the spirit and I would think about what the gospel means to me in my life. I didn't have a miraculous conversion, I just realized over time that I knew the church was true, that Jesus is the Christ, and that I always had known. The teachings of Jesus Christ, His gospel, and His church make complete sense to me and I love the happiness and joy that follows by living them. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true and restored church upon the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything that I do, or at least, try to do; I am not perfect. Everyday I strive to be a better person; I try to live up to my potential as a daughter of God. I try to follow Christ's example daily. Some of the basics that I do to live my faith is to pray every morning and night, study the scriptures, and attend church every week. These are what give me the strength that I need to be happy and to be able to continue to live my faith. I constantly try to become a better missionary. I try to help those in need and really learn how to love one another. I live my faith by following God's commandments and by repenting when I make a mistake. I live my faith by staying worthy to have the Holy Ghost as my constant companion to guide and direct me throughout my life.
