Hi I'm Jennie!

I'm first and foremost a wife to an incredible man, a mommy to the cutest little boy there ever was...I'm a runner, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have been married to my best friend since 2010, and we welcomed our first baby in May of 2013, named Easton. I grew up in a house full of sports and married a man who fits right into that family. I graduated from Utah State University in Exercise Science, I love learning about the human body (it's incredible what it can do!) and how to take care of it-and teaching others how to tAfter I graduate I plan to start teaching group fitness classes and doing personal training. I love to run and especially love to run with my husband, my "little man", my sisters and mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have chosen to continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ, as my parents have done, because it makes me happy to be a member of this church. There was a time in my life when I had to make a choice of whether to follow what I'd always been taught or to choose a different path. I quickly came to the realization that living the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. That is what makes me feel joy and peace during a time when the world is so chaotic. I honestly do not know how I would have gotten through parts of my life without the knowledge I have of this gospel. I truly am so happy when I live the things I have been taught. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that He is my Savior. I know he died for me, and you. I know that because he did this that I can live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that Heavenly Father hears my prayers and wants us all to be happy. I know that families can be together forever because that is what Heavenly Father wanted for us. I know that we have the opportunity on this earth to face adversity, trials and temptations with faith in Jesus Christ and that if we do our very best, he will never abandon us. I know that through adversity in our lives that we become stronger. I know that the prophets in the Book of Mormon really lived and that they were called of God to bring us closer to our Father in Heaven through their examples and teachings.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of the Church, but I think that living your faith means more than going to church for 3 hours each Sunday. I choose to follow my Savior's example and do my best (in my flawed-mortal way) to love everyone that I meet and to be treat others with kindness and respect no matter who they are or what they might believe. I feel like when I can live as Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father want me to live that I have the ability to help those around me to come to know their Savior and to know that they are important and loved. I do not drink, I don't do drugs, I do not curse, I live the law of chastity...my favorite way to "live my faith" is to attend the temple with my husband. When we go to the temple, we are able to learn more about our Heavenly Father's plan for each of us, and we get to renew the covenants we make with Him to do our best and to live our lives the way He wants us to. When I live my faith I feel happier, I feel like my mind is clear to what my purpose is in this life, and I believe it makes me a better wife, a better mother, a better friend, a better daughter, a better sister and a better disciple of Christ.
