Hi I'm Tony Alldredge

I grew up and live in Arizona, earned my living as a facilities engineer and have a wonderful, large family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona, the son of a Mesa High School teacher. I've earned my living mostly as a facilities engineer, constructing and maintaining buildings for Motorola, but now I'm retired. I married a wonderful young lady from a Utah farming family and we have eleven great children and a growing number of grandchildren of whom we are duly proud. We live in Mesa and enjoy camping, relaxing in our mountain home in Heber, and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were LDS, but, like everyone, I had to determine for myself if God lived and cared about me, if the Church really had genuine prophets, and what to make of Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection. After considerable study and reflection, my heartfelt prayers were answered in unmistakeable ways. I received answers that I could say with certainty were not my imagination, that came from outside of me and that came from a source that knew me and cared about me. Most of those answers came as whispers from the Holy Ghost to my heart or from physical happenings that could not have been "coincidences". I have come to trust in prayer, in the prophets that guide this church and in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I invite any that will to do the same. It works.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church every week, studying the scriptures and praying in our family, and serving in the Church and in the community. Recently, my wife and I completed a two-year service mission assisting the missionaries with their apartments and with materials they give to interested people. We also teach most Sundays in church. It's fun also to maintain a warm relationship with our neighbors and to keep up on political affairs, although there surely are plenty of troubles in the world. We try to be prepared to help others, both physically and emotionally in times of trouble.
