Hi I'm Anna

I'm a writer, a scholar, a wife, a mother, a runner, a skier, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love all things domestic. I revel in making my home a happy place to be, a sanctuary. I love to cook, garden, and sew. My husband is my favorite person. Our children bring so much sunshine and joy into our lives. Also messes. But we wouldn't have it any other way. I have a Master's degree in literature, and I love to read well-written novels. I also love to run and to ski. The outdoors beckon me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it imbues my life with such purpose. I know I am a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven who has a plan for me. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to bear the burden of our sins and imperfections, that we might return to him one day. I love knowing that my Father is aware of me, and knows me. I am grateful that his plan provides a way for families to be families forever. My family is so precious to me, and knowing that I will have them for eternity is my choicest blessing. As a Mormon, I feel respected and supported in my roles as a woman, a wife, and a mother. My life is joyful and I feel fulfilled. My life has purpose, and meaning. I am so grateful for that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I try to follow Christ's example and treat others kindly. I go to church each Sunday with my family, and renew my promise to remember him in my daily life. I have been asked to visit certain women in my congregation each month, to befriend them and help them in times of need. I also have been asked to make sure that all new mothers, or any sick or elderly members in our ward feel supported and cared for. I love doing it, I find so much joy in helping others.
