Hi I'm Elden

I'm a husband, a father, theatre geek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up the 10th of 12 children in a big Mormon family in rural eastern Washington. After serving a mission to Brazil, I came home, and helped my dad run our family popcorn confection company, and found a wonderful woman to share my life with. Moving home to work with my family made it difficult to finish my college, but determination and technology paid off, I was able to complete my bachelors degree online. 5 kids later and an adjustment to my goals in life. I've now decided to go back to school and get my Masters degree in teaching. I keep myself busy with family and church, as well as presiding over the community theatre group. I love playing board games and basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up in the church all my life in a stong Mormon family, I was surrounded by wonderful examples of how living the gospel teachings will bring happiness. As I got older I really started to ponder on the meatier doctrine of the church, and after many hours of study, pondering and prayer. I received witness from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon was true. The clarity that came to my mind and the warm and distinct feeling that came to my heart, is one of the many times in my life that I've recieved witness.

How I live my faith

One of the great benefits of being Mormon is being able to serve as needed and required in a variety of different ways. Over the years I've worked with young children, tweens, teens and other adults, teaching sunday school, advising youth groups, and in the position to help people move in and out, chop fire wood, as well as help the little old lady across the street.
