Hi I'm Ken Carden

I grew up in South Phoenix, Arizona. I am husband, a father, and grandfather, and a Concrete Contractor, and yes, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy dirt bike riding, spending time with my family, and being outdoors. I spend my weekends going to my grandson's football games, granddaughter's cheer, and spending time with my wife. I have always enjoyed building big trucks. At family reunions, I am always cooking. I love finding new recipes for my dutch oven and feeding others. I enjoy singing! I have my own Karaoke machine, and love to entertain.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 10 years old, I was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. It was then I started the process of my personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon, and know that the teachings from this book are true. It is wonderful to know that my family can be together forever. I know that my Savior lives, and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven and live with my Heavenly Father once this life is over. In my life, I have seen many changes in the world, but there has been one thing that has been constant, and that is the Gospel. No matter how hard things are in this life, the Gospel can bring you happiness.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings. In each and every one of them, I have had joy in my life. I have been able to serve the Youth in my Stake. I have been blessed to be apart of a group of men who take 200 boys to Zion's Camp for the last 16 years. I currently serve as the 1st Counselor in the Bishopric in the Vineyard Ward, Phoenix, AZ. I live my faith by daily scripture study, prayer, and visits to the Mesa, Arizona Temple. I strive daily to keep the commandments and pattern my life as the Savior, Jesus Christ did.
