Hi I'm Haleigh

I'm a wife, mother to four, photographer, owner of two businesses and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an adoring wife to a hardworking, fun-loving, handsome hubby! I am a professional photographer and own another business with my husband. Working together has been an interesting experience that has taught us so much and brought our relationship and communication to a whole new level. I enjoy exercising. I started running this past year and would like to run in a marathon... someday. I love to read. I also enjoy cooking, especially baking. I am a mother to 4 children that I strive to teach my children to be responsible, sweet, considerate, kind and strong-minded. My goal in life is to raise four amazingly happy and content individuals. All three of my daughters are dancers. Three and a half years ago I got the scariest phone calls of my life. My husband had been in a mountain biking accident and was being air-flighted to a nearby hospital. He had suffered seizures and was unconscious. When I finally got to see him, he was still unconscious. He would wake up randomly and make random comments and go right back to sleep. That night the doctors did CT Scans and MRIs and we found out that he had suffered a traumatic brain injury. My husband had to learn to walk, talk, read, write and learn to be himself, all over again. At the time, I had two young children and was pregnant with my third. This experience, although incredibly trying, increased my faith in a God of miracles. It helped me and my family to grow closer together and reminded us how precious our time together is.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church along with my mom and sister at the age of 14. I had a lot of friends that were Mormon. One day, my mom asked if we wanted to learn more about the Mormon church. Due to the example of all of my Mormon friend's at school, I decided that I wanted to hear more about what they were all about. We had two sister missionaries come into our home and teach us about the Church. At that age, I remember feeling such a sweet tender feeling when I head about the Church. Everything that the sister missionaries taught me seemed so familiar, like something that I'd heard before. I told my mom and sister that whether or not they were baptized I had made the decision to be baptized. We were all baptized after 9 months of taking discussions with the missionaries. They were very patient with us. I am Mormon because the principles of this gospel complete me and make me so happy. They give me such comfort and purpose in this crazy busy life, even through the hard times, the teachings of this church are what ground me. I love my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and that only through Him, I can return to my Father in Heaven. I am grateful for the knowledge that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I teach a class called the Sunbeams right now. They are the three and four year old children. I love it so much. The sweet innocence and faith of children is so amazing to me. It is such an example to me. I have also served, in past years, in the women's organization of the church and have worked with the youth. Every service opportunity within the church is an amazing way to grow, within my faith and as a person. I am also a visiting teacher. Once a month I go and visit two sisters in my ward, with a partner, in their home and get to know them better. When we go, we always try to bring an uplifting message.
