Hi I'm Robin Forsberg

I am a mother, grandmother, a Nursery School Director and Music Teacher. I live in Massachusetts and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom. My husband and I have raised four children who are all married now. We have lived in Utah, California, New York and now Massachusetts. All of my children are now married and starting families of their own. I am a grandma of five and I love them with all my heart. I have always worked, yet have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to share summers off with my family. I used to sew and cook, but have found as I've gotten older other interests have kicked in. I recently completed by four year college degree after a twenty five year abscense from school.  I loved being back in college and have found that having life experiences helped me be a much more knowlegable and better prepared student. I have taught preschool and kindergarten, but am now a Nursery School Director. I get to teach music to the children once a week. I love to exercise, read and go to the beach.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the Mormon church and thus my brothers, sisters and I were all raised with the gospel in our home. As a child it was easy to go to church and participate in all of the organizations and activities offered by the church. As I grew and became a teenager I knew that I needed to find out for myself if the church was true. I attended Seminary, an early morning gospel study class for high schoolers, and read the Bible as well as other scriptures. When I was a senior I read the Book of Mormon and took Moroni's challenge to ask if the words in the book were true. I received the quiet confirmation that what I read and the things that I had learned in my youth were true. After high school I attended college at Brigham Young University and met a young man who was also a Mormon and we soon were married. After two years of marrriage our first child joined our family. Having children presented all kinds of new experiences and challenges. Having the gospel of Jesus Christ as my anchor helped me to know the things I needed to do to be a good parent and the the important things I needed to teach my children. I am so grateful for the gospel and also for the example of good members of the church who have showed me directly or through example how to live a Christ like live and how to become a better person, wife, mother and member of my community. As I continue to progress through this life I know that it is my faith in my Heavenly Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ, that has shaped me into the person I am today. I am grateful to a living Prophet and Apostles who lead the church today. I know my Heavenly Father knows who I am and loves me and wants only the best for me. Things are not always perfect or as I would want them to be, but my faith helps me to overcome doubt and despair. As I follow His commandments and strive to do what is right, I know that I am blessed in my everyday life.

How I live my faith

Right now I work with the Young Women in my Ward. The ward is a basic unit of the church and the Young Women are girls ages 12 to 18. Together with the girls we work on "Personal Progress"' This is a program designed to help the girls grow in all aspects of their lives. The girls are wonderful and their example, enthusiasm and faith amaze me every day. Throughout the years I have had many different opportunities to serve. I have worked with the young children, the women, new members and investigators as well as lots of different assignments. I have organized Girl's Camp for 120 people and Youth Conferences for over 250 teenagers. One of the great things about the church is that there is always an opportunity to learn and grow. Many times I have been asked to complete an assignment where I thought "I have no idea how to do this", yet there have always been individuals there to help and guide me as I worked at the task. With help from the Lord and those around me it is often miraclous what can be accomplished. I have been a member of my children's school's PTO, President of the local Swim Team, Booster Club President and have worked with the local YMCA. One of my passions is donating blood through the Red Cross.
