Hi I'm Michelle

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have two daughters, one son and 6 grandchildren, three boys and three girls. I love to sew, read, work in my flower beds and most of all spend time with my family. I work as a bookkeeper for an export company which is not too exciting but is a great place to work. My husband and I served a service mission for four years as housing coordinators for the LDS church mission in our area. It was a great four years and we thoroughly enjoyed serving the missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the church. My mother took us every Sunday to meetings. I learned to love the gospel through my mother's teachings, leaders and teachers in my classes. Everytime I open my scriptures to read, the Holy Ghost bears witness to me that what I am reading is from the Lord. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life when there have been trials and sicknesses, healing and answered prayers. I am a member of this church because I know the gospel is true. I have felt it in my heart since I was small.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by exercizing the motto "Charity Never Faileth". I help when needed to provide meals and help with the needs of my sisters in the gospel. I worked for several months at my local food bank providing assistance to those in need to show an example to our community of what we believe. I have worked in both of the youth programs in our church and the women's organization by teaching and serving. For four years my husband I served in the Washington Seattle Mission for our church as housing coordinators. We would find housing for the missionaries and make sure they had what they needed to be comfortable in their apartments. It was wonderful to serve a mission and work with the missionaries.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Tithing is our way of giving back to the Lord part of what he has given to us. We have been so blessed through our tithing offering that we cannot do anything less than what the Lord asks of us. It is a small sacrifice to help move forward the kingdom of God. Show more Show less
