Hi I'm Natalie

I'm an ordinary woman, living an ordinary life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an ordinary person, living an ordinary life, hoping for extraordinary results. I'm a mother of five living in small town America. I love any activity with my husband and children, including white water rafting, gardening, skiing, four wheeling, reading, cooking and eating, singing, dancing, and especially laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a large Mormon family, and if childhood can be perfect, mine was. I came to know the profound love of God by the love of my parents and siblings. We had many challenges as a family, but our faith in God and love for each other helped us grow from these experiences. Now that I'm married and raising five young children, I continue to find my greatest direction, peace, and love as I follow my Savior, Jesus Christ. My greatest joys come from being a disciple of Jesus Christ. It gives me courage and focus to know that my roles of wife and mother have eternal significance, that the small things I'm doing in my home matter to God, and that He will guide us home to Him. I am not lost in the confusion of the world; I know who I am, I know why I'm here, and I know where I'm going. And I know for certain that we can return to God as families!

How I live my faith

In the course of my husband becoming a dentist, we have lived from sea to shining sea, Baltimore to San Francisco. Along the way, we have found the feeling of family in our local congregations. We have felt the love of God in doctrine that is unchanging from city to city. I have served as a youth leader in many cities, as a women's leader in our current congregation, and as a friend and sister to the women in all the places we have lived. I have never felt lost or abandoned because Mormon members have always welcomed and loved us along our way. In all of the service I have received and given, I have come to know more clearly the love of God for all of His children--every one.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

As a child of God, you are entitled to have your questions answered by Him. Think of that! You can approach the ruler of the universe in prayer, and He will answer you! I know that God is my Father and loves me with endless, perfect love. Of course He wants me to know Him! Of course He wants to help me! As I seek to know His truth, He will help me to find it, because I am His daughter. I feel God's answers to me through the influence of the Holy Ghost. For me, this comes as an overwhelming feeling of peace; a quiet, yet powerful joy; a spontaneous, enlightening thought; and a still, small voice in my heart and mind. But I have to be seeking for the truth and living God's commandments to feel the Holy Ghost's quiet messages. I have never received an answer without effort and prayer. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

My family is everything to me because I really can have them for all eternity! That means everything I do to strengthen, bless, and love my family is of eternal value. What happens in my home on a daily basis and the precious souls within our home matter to God! Each child is precious to God, and He wants all of us to return to Him. The best way to learn of God, His teachings, and His love are in a family setting. I have come to know God and my eternal nature by being married and having children, and by striving to make those relationships eternal. Show more Show less
