Hi I'm Josh

I'm a patent attorney and dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the father of a young family, with a wife and a toddler, and I love spending time with them. I particularly enjoy my toddler waiting by the door for me each day when I come home from work. I enjoy my job as a patent attorney, working particularly with electrical engineering matters - both prosecuting patents and litigating them. I also enjoy traveling, when I get the chance to do so, and hope to go back to Europe someday soon. I also enjoy speaking French (which I learned while I was a Mormon missionary in southern France several years ago).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that the principles taught in the Mormon Church are true and help us lead better lives while on Earth and also prepare us to live as families with God in the next life. I know that God lives and loves us all, no matter our current circumstances, and wants for us to be happy. To that end, he has provided us with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I believe that by following that gospel, we will become better and happier people. I also believe that God has given us a prophet and twelve apostles on the Earth today, just as he did in biblical times, to guide and counsel us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church services every Sunday, and also by striving to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ all throughout the week. Every few Sundays I teach a Sunday School class, and I also help the missionaries in my area. Once a month, I visit the homes of several families in our congregation to help support them in their faith.
