Hi I'm Adam

I'm from New Mexico, am an Air Force Pilot, and a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in New Mexico, both my parents being members of the Church. My family adopted two Chinese children when I was a teenager. I went away to school and was commissioned an Officer in the Air Force. Today I am a pilot. I've enjoyed travelling the world, I love gaining appreciation for various cultures (and cuisines!) and languages. I met a girl here in the States and we are engaged, counting the days down until our wedding. I love to read, run, and learn.

Why I am a Mormon

As a first year college student the realization hit me that the name of "Christ" was not to be taken upon myself lightly. To be Christen was an all-or-nothing decision. To accept Christ was to be faith-changing, thought-changing, action-changing, and ultimately life changing. If it was true, it required totally encompassing effort. If it was false, then you sure had better bet I wasn't going to waste my time alienating myself from the activities and habits so many of my friends had undertook. That realization set me off on a several month "research project" in which I was determined to uncover the truthfulness of Christ, of Christianity, and of "Mormonism". I prayed frequently, read all the scripture I could get my hands on, fasted, and in effect, put the Bible, Book of Mormon, and God to the test (however bad that now sounds in hindsight!) The great experiences and amazing uplifting feelings that were had during that time, and ever-since, left zero room for doubt on what path to take in life!

How I live my faith

I'm gone a lot due to being in the military, but I feel like Christ and the Prophets teach us that true religion is in Charity and Service. These are the ideals I continually try to live but always fall sort of! Personal scripture study, prayer, and even running brings me closer to God.
