Hi I'm Robert Golding

I was raised on a small farm and a ranch. Today I find joy providing for my family working with computers and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i was raised in a small town in arizona. my father was a mormon and my mother penicostal. each sunday morning we would all get ready for church then each child would chose wheter to go with mom or go with dad. my father operated a ranch and we owned a small farm. it was enough to provide the necessities of life and it provided opotunities to be around animals and hard work. these experience had a significant impact on who i am today. i grew up loving the world around me placing little emphasis on things.

Why I am a Mormon

at a very young age i learned that obedience brings blessings and as i learned to obey i learned the value of the gospel in my life and foud myself drawn to the comfort and peace found active participation in the Lord's church. my earliest memories of evidence of a personal tetimony of the gospel is when i came home from primary lessons with a picture of joseph smith. though my parents had agreed not to pull us to one faith or the other seeing this picture in my hands was more than my mother could stand. she took the picture from me and told me that he was a man of the devil. at the time i recognized that what i had been taught in primary was the truth and mama was just mistaken in her position. looking back on it i recognize that the spirit was working in my heart even then to help me understand eternal truths that would bless me thoughout my life. today i enjoy a mature testimony built on fasting, study and prayer. today i enjoy an unshakeable knowledge of my Savior's love for me and the amazing gift of his atonement. to this day i can draw strength from a powerful experience i had when the spirit witnessed to me that i had indeed been forgive of my sins.

How I live my faith

second only to the Savior i make my family the most important thing in my life and at the top of that list is my wonderful wife. the most important service i can provide is service in my own home making my family important in my life is one of the ways that i show love for my Savior. as parents we become partners with God and bring his children into this world. we then teach them by principle and by example how to love and respect our God and his Son. i often have the assignment to teach the gosple in sunday service classes, i love how the spirit can guide you as you prepare and as you present a lesson. my 14 year old son and i have been assigned to visit 3 families in the neighborhood. this families we visit all have strong, well established, mature testimonies of the gospel of Christ and though we ar there to watchover them and see to there needs generally it is more an opportunity for my son to learn the joy of service and to feel the spirit when teaching small lessons in their homes.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Robert Golding
our Father in Heaven loves his sons and his daughters equally but he has not given them identical responsibilities. when brought together a man and a woman become complete, neither is complete without the other. Show more Show less
