Hi I'm Stacey

I'm sort of artistic. I'm ridiculously imperfect. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So, I play guitar and stuff. I suppose music is an important part of my life; both playing and listening. Soccer is the best. I love to cook. I learned it all from my mom. I have a younger sister who is married. My dad is currently in the US Army, I can't tell you what he does.... My parents are a major driving force in my life. So naturally family and friends are the most important thing to me. I like to travel and see new places, not necessarily move around. I most recently lived in South Korea. Although I loved it, the people are super nice, the food is delicious, etc.; I don't think i could live there forever. I love my country too much. Yeah, I'm patriotic, and therefore opinionated. Strangely enough, I will be going home to Watertown, New York. I have many aspirations and such. One thing I say sometimes: "In my experience, there's no such thing as luck." (name that movie) And it's true. So that's pretty much the basic rundown of who I am...

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts. They joined the Church when I was pretty young. So I don't really know what it is like to live outside of it. But I have seen the differences it has made. I am blessed with the knowledge and assurance that my family will be together forever as long as we live worthy of it. I also know the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ. It truly is, along with the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting Gospel. Having that and a modern day prophet of God, you can't go wrong. These are important in our Heavenly Father's plan for us. All of these things bring me much comfort. I know this is Jesus Christ's church, and that these things are true. And no one can tell me otherwise.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time (2 year) mission for the Church in Mesa, Arizona. Missionary work is the best form of service out there. Although I sometimes do have a difficult time loving some people (which I am working on), I often do feel the joys of missionary work (Alma 19:14; 26:11in the Book of Mormon) and that is what keeps me going.
