Hi I'm Rosa

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Chile and came to the United States as a young bride.

About Me

I have been married for 41 years, I am a mother of three, and the grandmother of seven grandchildren. I was born in Chile and came to the United States as a young bride. Love to travel. Have lived in Greece and Spain. Enjoy reading a good book, baking, canning and writing poetry. Although I cannot carry a tune I enjoy listening to music and singing. I like to spend time with my family and friends. For the past 30 years I have run a day-care in my home. I love to be around little people. They show me how Heavenly Father wants me to be when I grow up!

Why I am a Mormon

I was 30 years old when baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Although I have always been a happy person, the Gospel of Jesus Christ brought joy into my life. The knowledge that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me and has a plan for me to return to His presence makes me try harder to be obedient to His commandments. There are no words to express my love and gratitude for my Savior Jesus Christ. He came to this world to suffer not only for our sins and shortcomings, but also to show us by example how to live our lives. I cannot imagine my life without the guidance and stability the Gospel gives me. The Church is not only my religion, but my way of life.

How I live my faith

The Savior Jesus Christ taught that if we loved Him we would feed His sheep. I look for opportunities to serve others. I have volunteered in schools, answered hot lines for victims of domestic violence, been a foster mom, served in PTA and other causes where I felt I could make a difference. I have served in many capacities in the Church. I have taught Sunday School to young children and to adults, but my favorite thing is to work with the young people ages 12 to 18. They are the best of the best. I like to refurbish old computers and give them to people who can’t afford to buy one. Jesus said “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Love requires action. I have come to learn that the easiest and best way to learn to love people is by serving them. By serving others I feel that I not only believe what the Savior taught, but that I practice what I believe.
