Hi I'm Erik

I grew up in California, I'm a Husband, Father and, Electrical Contractor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, My name is Erik, and I'm an electrical contractor, and I enjoy hunting and fishing, music of all sorts, and I enjoy going to dinner on Fridays, and a movie with my lovely wife. When I was 19 I served my Heavenly Father by going on a two year mission, where I learned beyond a shadow of a dought that I'm first and foremost a Child of God, and enjoy doing the best I can to make him proud of me. secondly I'm a husband, and have been happily marrid for 23 years. We have five children and enjoy being parents and a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Becoming a mormon was easy for me. My parents joined the church when I was five, and began raising my sister and I by those values. I learned from my parents what being a good member of the church meant, and was taught through family home evening, and of course a lovng mother and father how I should act. Seminary each day helped prepare me spiritually, although to be perfectly honest it was difficult, and I didn't appreciate getting up at 5:30 AM until years later while serving my mission. I have to say that my true conversion came while I was on my mission, and I began to understand by teaching others how much my Heavely Father loves me, and all of his children. I follow his gosple not because it just something to do, but because it is a way of life that is not always easy, and because his spirit has testifyed to me of the truthfullness of the gosple and that by servig him and others I can one day return home.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to be an example to others that I'm associated with. On sunday I'm involved with the 14 year old youth, and I'm assigned to teach them the third sunday of each month. I also have a home teaching assignment to teach others in there home, where we check on them each month to see if there is anything that we can do to help them. service to others is a primary part of our religon, and by helping others weather through assignment or random acts of kindness, it is through this, and love for one another that we draw closer to our Heavenly Father.
