Hi I'm Jennie

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I recently graduated with a degree in chemistry and love studying the sciences. I joined the military when I was eighteen and have always been very thankful to live in a country where the people enjoy great religious freedom. I belong to an amazing family. I enjoy traveling to see famous and historic sites. I love trying new things, having fun, and laughing a lot along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were the first to teach me about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. As a family we went to church, read the scriptures, and talked often of spiritual matters. Most importantly they taught me to pray so that at a young age I was able to communicate with my Father in Heaven and feel His love for me. When I read the words of the prophets in the scriptures, attend worship services, pray, and strive daily to follow the Lord's teachings, the Holy Spirit confirms to me I am on the right path in my life. I have read the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and prayed to know that it is the word of God. Now whenever I read the Book of Mormon I feel the Holy Spirit confirm to me this book of scripture is the word of God and a gift given as a companion to the Holy Bible to help guide His children in these turbulent times. I am a Mormon because the Lord has helped me to know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church on the earth today and it is where He wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I know one of the best ways to express my faith and love for Heavenly Father is by obedience to the commandments He has given us. I read the scriptures, pray, attend church meetings, and do my best to follow the example of Christ. I make mistakes on a daily basis but I know I can overcome my shortcomings as long as I am humble and ask Heavenly Father for forgiveness, guidance, courage, and strength.

What is being a Mormon like?

I love being a Mormon. The primary reason I love being a Mormon is because I know that's what Heavenly Father wants me to be and that knowledge gives me great peace and comfort. As a Mormon I know that my life has purpose and direction. I know God loves me. Because I know God loves me I strive to keep His commandments. As I keep the commandments I have peace of mind, I am financially secure, I am free from addictions, and I have a wonderful relationship with my family. I still have trials and struggles but Heavenly Father gives me strength and courage to face them. Show more Show less
