Hi I'm Aimee

I'm a college student and friend addict. I love my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite things to do include hanging out with friends, talking and laughing with my family, being in charge of and organizing activities, playing and listening to music, and overall just having a good time! I want to be an elementary school teacher when I "grow up," which I am studying for at Brigham Young University. I have chosen to dedicate the next 18 months of my life to serve as a missionary for this church, and will be spending this time sharing my testimony with the people of Chicago, Illinois! I have been told that I use too many exclamation points…but sometimes I can't help it! I love to enjoy life!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, just like my parents were. So truthfully, the reason that I am a Mormon is because my ancestors joined the church, and I am immensely grateful to them for their choice to do so! I can’t even begin to imagine where my life would if they had not set the way for my family! Every day experiences that I have, such as being in a room full of teary-eyed teenagers all emotionally touched by a spiritual experience someone has shared, strengthen my testimony that this church is true. Because of these, I know that I could never deny what I know by drawing away from this faith!! The blessings I receive from choosing the right and following the standards of the church give me the testimony that I have, which to me is one of the most important things anybody could wish to have. I am a Mormon because I love how the church makes me feel!

How I live my faith

Every morning, I get up and say my prayers for help throughout the day. I get ready for the day by dressing modestly to show my testimony through my appearance, so that hopefully anyone who sees me can see that I know who I am - a daughter of God! Through the day, I don’t swear, and I try my hardest to not say things that would hurt others in any way. I try to have charity by helping others, and by uplifting anyone who needs it. I also try to have a good attitude about things, to relieve others of stress and grief, and I smile and laugh as often as I can! I read my scriptures daily to learn lessons from them and figure out the things I need to change in my life in order to be a better person. I live my faith by trying to walk in the footsteps of Christ – and even though I struggle at times, I know that if I try my best to be a person focused on uplifting others, my life itself will be uplifted! That is the blessing I feel most prominent through living my faith!
