Hi I'm Marc Cohn

I grew up in Omaha Nebraska. I attended the Methodist Church the first 18 years of my life.

About Me

I received six weekly lessons from a pair of Mormon missionaries shortly after I was married. I was very skeptical of the message that was being shared with me. Then the missionaries advised me that they had set a baptism date for me. I was more than surprised since I felt I was just checking out the Mormon church. They told me it was up to me, but then they challenged me to sincerely pray to see what I should do. That evening I took a walk to a park near our little apartment, there I sat and pondered for the longest time. Trying to mustard up the courage to pray. Then I did it, I offered my first verbal prayer to my Father in Heaven. As soon as I said amen a wonderful thing happened. No lighting, no voice from above, not even a burning bush. What happened to me was an amazing transfermation, a happiness in my heart that I felt right down to my soul. I felt so calm, excited, happy, peaceful, all at once. I received a confirmation that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints was truley Heavenly Fathers Church here on the earth. I couldn't wait to tell my wife, be baptized, and share this message with others. Now, 37 years later I am happy to share this same message with you.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has helped my wife and I raise three children in a world where morals seem to be crumbling around us. It is the rock and foundation to our marriage and our family.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different calling in the Church. My wife has taught me that by serving others we learn to love them. I know this is true.   I have felt the love of those who have served me as well.
