Hi I'm Little Johnny

I'm glad I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I join the military because I needed a place to live after I became a member of the church. 26 years later I retired a chief in the USAF, married, with four childern and one grandson. Through trials of deployments and disappointments the gospel has been my rock. Now I have 6 grandchildern, the same wife that still puts up with me :), and able to recognize the Masters hand in my life now more than ever.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a close family with a religious background. There were ideas or beliefs I knew instinctively to be ture, that my family nor church didn't even have a stand on, so when I heard the missionaries teach them as gospel princples my interests were sparked. I don't really like to read but the missionaries ask me to read and pray about the Book of Mormon to see if what they were teaching was true. I did read and I got my personal answer. Though I received a great deal of opposition from my family and through out my life for making the decision to join; almost 40 years later I would do it again in a heart beat!

How I live my faith

I worked construction until i was 16, then i started working for the navy through my early college years, so my language was very colorful. When I joined the church I had an interview with a church leader that asked how do you witness that you take upon you the name of Christ if you talk that way? He was right and I had to change, even today woman come up and appolize for their language, but i can still can do better.
