Hi I'm Annette

I love to travel the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I graduated from college and started my career, I have made it my goal to travel as much as possible. I love seeing different parts of the world and meeting people from various cultures and backgrounds. I've been to over 50 countries on 6 continents, but I still have a lot to go! I was blessed to be able to travel across the United States with my family while growing up, and I still enjoy hiking and camping like we always did together. When I'm not traveling I like cooking, playing games, reading, boating, and playing the piano. I love just hanging out with my family and being the "favorite aunt" to my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me so happy! The teachings of the church help me understand that there is a purpose for the things I do, the people I meet, and the challenges I face. I find great peace and joy in knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and has a plan for my life. It helps me keep an eternal perspective as I make decisions and face unexpected situations. It gives me a strong foundation on which to build my personal standards and values. I am so grateful to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I can be forgiven when I make mistakes. I love knowing we have a prophet today that receives revelation to guide and direct the church, and that I can also receive personal revelation to provide direction in my own life. I know that living the tenets of the gospel makes me a better person than I would be otherwise.

How I live my faith

I love the opportunities I am given to serve others in the church and community. I currently help others as an employment specialist. I try to give people the tools and resources needed to find a job, get the education needed for a desired career, or start their own business. Since I play the piano, organ, and flute, I have many opportunities to participate in the music used in our worship services. I work with local service groups to help feed the homeless, assist with Special Olympics events, pack food for malnourished children, and many other projects. I try to always live the values and standards I have been taught so no one will have to question what I believe.
