Hi I'm Jenny

I am a Arizona Farm Girl! I LOVE my Family, Animals, Photography, Hiking, Jogging and Horseback riding. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a wife to my amazing husband. He is my best friend. We have two wonderful active boys. Some days are more challenging with the boy factor in my home. But I would not have it any other way. You just never know what they will bring in the house next. Bugs, Lizards (still not sure where it went in the couch), birds, rocks, dirt, mud and anything else they can stick in their pockets. We live in Arizona on 3.5 acres. We have AQHA and APHA Horses, Sheep, Nubian Milk Goats, Chickens, Geese, Ducks, Rabbits and Australian Shepherd dogs. We LOVE Sports. Our kids are active in football and basketball. As a family, we love to be together outside and enjoy being with our animals. We love growing our garden and eating the food we grow. We just built out house. I love it! It is a small 1000 sq foot home. Nothing fancy but very practical. I am so excited to have only one bathroom to clean! It took forever to build because we paid as we built. But I love that it is Paid for.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church. I was raised by two amazing parents that live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a 7th generation Mormon. My ancestors were great people that sacrificed so much for us to have the gospel today. On my dad’s side of the family my great, great, great, great grandfather joined the church in Toronto, Canada in 1836. 15 of my 16 great, great, great, grandparents were in Nauvoo with the Prophet Joseph Smith when the church was organized. One my mom’s side of the family my My mother’s ancestors were one of the families that came through hole in the rock. My parents and extended family members are very strong in the gospel. It is a great strength to have such a great legacy of faithful members in my family. Whenever we get together as an extended family, the room is so filled with love and joy. Most of our extended family events have 75-120 relatives at them. It can be a little crazy and overwhelming but the love of Christ and family is so strong. Every Christmas on my dad’s side of the family, we gather together and carry on a Family Tradition that started back in 19 . It is called the Apple of Love. Just because I was taught and grew up in the gospel, I still had to find out if the church was true or not. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have felt the truthfulness of this book. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored this Church back to the earth. Heavenly Father is our Father in Heaven and I know that Christ is my Savior. I have felt the tender mercies of God in my life and I know with all my heart that this gospel is true. By being a Mormon I know that it is helping me be a better wife, mother, daughter and sister. I’m a Mormon and I am loving it.

How I live my faith

I strive to keep Christ centered in my life every day, not just on Sundays. I go to church every week to take the sacrament, so I can renew my covenants. I currently serve in the Young Women. I am a Laurel Advisor and teach the girls that are 16-18 years old. They are amazing! I think I learn more from these young women, then I teach them. They truly have the pure love and spirit of Christ. They love unconditionally and they can fill the love of our Savior. By serving them I feel my Saviors love for his children. I pray every day and pray for everything. I pray for help, comfort, my animals (sometimes our prays are long because my son names a lot of the animals), family, love, peace, etc… I live my faith by seeing Gods hand in everything around me (I truly mean everything). From the sun shining, flowers blooming, children laughing, animals, crops growing in the fields, weather, love, etc.. Living by faith helps me to make the right decisions every day. It helps me to know who I am, what my purpose is on this earth, how my family will be eternal and where we go after this earth life. The plan of salivation is amazing. By applying the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, it gives my life purpose, it gives me direction in this challenging, crazy world and I know that I am never alone. I live by Faith and I am a Mormon.
