Hi I'm Peggy Leona Hawkins

A Marvelous Work And A Wonder..... the restored gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints.

About Me

Hi, my name is Peggy. I really enjoy the beautiful city in which I live, It has an abundance of canopy trees and lots of wildlife. Each day I go for a chocolate ride and give thank's to Heavenly Father for these special blessing's. One of my greatest enjoyment's have been my little Japanese Chin's that accompanies me on these rides, they also enjoy the parks and animals.

Why I am a Mormon

Faith in the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Marvelous Work and A Wonder given me as I have steadfastly affirmed that the "Heaven's have been opened for all of Heavenly Father's children." The visit of the Father and the Son to Joseph Smith opened the door to the establishment of the kingdom of God upon the earth in this dispensation. Regretfully, for many years I failed to attend any church because of the different avenues in my life. I knew in my heart there needed to be a real change in my life and very humbly asked Heavenly Father to help me. I began by reading the Bible and then for some unexpected reason I picked up a Book of Mormon. It was hard trying to understand it's teaching's at first, but I finished reading it and then started reading the Doctrine and Covenants. I knew immediately it was true. I started praying for the Missionaries to just drop by. Within two weeks, they appeared at my door. After taking three discussions I asked them to help me get baptized. They were as shocked as I was that I had actually been praying for them to find me. Heavenly Father knows each and everyone of us, we just need to call upon Him and ask for His help. He's always there and will answer any ernest prayer of forgiveness. I was truly sorry of my sins and knew that Jesus Christ was my savior. I have been faithfully attending church for over twenty years and taking the sacrament each week. I attend the Temple as often as possible and exciting am seeking out my ancestors, so they can be baptized and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. My experience in teaching the youth and studying the gospel is one of my greatest gifts. The savior Jesus Christ being the greatest gift of all.

How I live my faith

I am presently working in the Church's Family History Center. I love tracing my family roots and feeling the Holy Spirit as I work.... it is awesome. Each time I find an ancestor it is pure joy..... can't wait to one day meet them. I also try to help others find their love ones by using all the available websites and Church History records. Our church is well known for it's preservation of geneology records. I would encourage everyone to experience this family connection of seeking out their ancestors.
