Hi I'm Mark

I am a proud father, an iOS developer, a photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very proud father of 2 beautiful kids. They are my life and the source of so much joy. I am the youngest of 6 kids. I was a very active and creative kid and have always been drawn to art and design. I served a mission in northern France and if you talk with me you will soon find that my heart will always be french. I connected on so many levels with the people and the culture and to this day I still talk to my kids in french. I am a research engineer and have spent the past several years working with the iOS platform. I have also been in love with photography since high school. For the past couple years I have been photographing weddings, special events, and maternity. It has allowed me to capture some of the most touching and tender moments we experience in life and it has been fun to be able to tell a story for the people I have come to meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe God the Father and Jesus Christ did in fact appear to Joseph Smith and called him as a prophet to restore important truths. I believe one of those restored truths is the power to act in God's name (the priesthood) was restored through heavenly messengers who held those keys and authority when they were on the earth. Another is the fact that God the Father, Like Christ, has a body, that we lived with Him as His spirit children before we came here to earth. We came to earth to be tested and gain a body that we may become like Him if we are true to His commandments. In doing so we can live forever as eternal families. Ultimately, if you ask me, "Why am I a Mormon", the answer is simple. I have not only prayed to know if these things are true but I have lived them and I believe that my life has become my testimony of the truthfulness of this message. The Holy Ghost, third member of the Godhead who's role is to testify of truth, has been constantly affirming the truth of the message we share daily throughout my life. The manifestation of the Holy Ghost is not something that ears can hear; rather it is deep impressions placed in the heart of those who ask. I have never seen a vision or heard a voice but I have received answers that have entered to my heart, penetrating to the very center. It is through these impressions, more so than physical signs, that I have been guided and had truth confirmed throughout my life. It is through that same spirit that I can say I know, and I thank God for that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I work with the young men in our community and try to be a friend giving a helping hand when needed. My role is to help mold these incredible youth into tomorrows leaders but what really happens is they actually model me and inspire me to live a more christ-like life.
