Hi I'm Teri

I was born in Missouri and raised in So. California---when I married we moved to Arizona and found the Church. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing Family History and making baby quilts by hand. I am a Widow/Single Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. I majored in Early Childhood Education in College. I had a daycare for a number of years and love Children. Each one has blessed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 years-old and on a trip to the desert with my family I felt an impression to lag behind the others and climbed up on a small sand dune and began to pray to Heavenly Father and during that prayer I asked if He would give me the first 30 years of my life---that I would serve him all the rest. I promptly forgot this promise, as children are known to do, and went about my life and when my husband and children and I moved to the desert with his job, I met a woman who would introduce me to the Gospel and eventually we joined the Church. Right after that we moved back to the area where we had originally lived. After having a visit from members one evening I asked to have a Patriarchal Blessing and was set up with the Patriarch and I had my blessing the following week. I turned 30 Years-old on the day of the blessing and the following week began to teach in the Primary Children's area of the Church. It wasn't until the following year while sharing my testimony with someone that it dawned on me that the Lord had kept his portion of the promise and I had begun to keep mine. What a powerful underlining of the fact that He is in charge---I knew for a certainty that I was right where Heavenly Father wanted me to be.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to teach the 10/11 Year-old children in Primary at Church. I also am called to be a Visiting Teacher and have a companion---another sister who goes along with me to visit other women in the Church to check on their welfare and see if they need help with anything in their personal life; family, health etc. We uplift those who have had a loss and are also blessed by these monthly visits as we feel blessed to give service to one another. We enjoy women's activities at Church and family pot lucks and Bar-B-Ques and service projects as a church group as well as support with any number of personal and family needs.
