Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in California. I am a defense attorney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have an almost 2 year old son. I graduated in 2010 from the J Reuben Clark Law School. I love to read all kinds of books, but science fiction and fantasy novels are my favorite. I love college sports. Go Cougars!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but both of my parents are converts. I grew up moving around a lot, so I have had the opportunity to see a lot of places and meet a lot of people. I love that the gospel is the same everywhere. The teachings of the church don't change from congregation to congregation. No matter where I go in the world, I have brothers and sisters in the gospel. I have found the gospel to be simple, beautiful and logical. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. He restored his gospel in these latter days through prophets just as He always has in the past.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward missionary which means I go out with the full time missionaries at least once a week to help them teach, give them a ride, or whatever else they need help with. Occasionally, I am asked to teach a gospel lesson in Sunday school for recent converts and those who are coming to church for the first time. I am also a Home Teacher. I have two families that I visit every month to teach them a short gospel lesson and make sure that they are doing well.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a prophet, just like Moses or Abraham from the Old Testament. We revere him for his faith, but he was just a man. He taught us how we can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. We worship them, not Joseph Smith Show more Show less
