Hi I'm Tana Nielson Alldredge

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and am a mother of two daughters. I live in Mesa, Arizona. I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was raised in a family of 4 brothers and a sister and all of us except my sister served missions for the church. I served in the Rome Italy mission. I work full time in a bank and investment firm and enjoy it very much. I have learned to balance that with being the wife of a school teacher and raising my precious daughters, with church callings, taking care of extended family needs, missionary work, and the duties of taking care of a home. I love the outdoors. My grandma has a ranch in another part of Arizona and one of my favorite things is spending time there with extended family and helping with a very large garden my folks plant every year. My mother is fighting cancer and so I am helping my folks get through that challenge. I also have a 95 yr old grandmother who still lives in her own house and so I help with her needs as well. Another favorite activity with extended family is our once a month family home evenings we do to celebrate the birthdays for that month. It is a wonderful tradition. My life is very full . . full of joy and a great love of service. It is what makes me happiest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for many reasons. I was born and raised a mormon and built a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the years growing up in the church. However, it was when I went on my mission that I felt the spirit of the Lord testify to me of the truths of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That is how I came to KNOW it was true. I believed it before but I now know it and cannot deny it. I have come to a deep understanding of the atonement of Jesus Christ and of his love for us. It is His example that shows us the way. It is his love and outstretched arms that teach us and beckon us to Him. I am forever grateful for this knowledge. The Book of Mormon is another testimant of Jesus Christ and the spirit will testify of its truthfulness to those who read it with a desire to know it's truths.

How I live my faith

I attend church each week and take the sacrament which allows me to renew my covenants I made when I got baptized. This helps me so much to start each week. I am a ward missionary and enjoy very much teaching the gospel and spending time with my wonderful companion mingling with so many wonderful people. I am also a visiting teacher which I love . . it is a privilege to be able to visit people in their homes and get to know them and their families and their circumstances and be of service wherever possible. I have spent a lot of time working with the youth as well and that is also something I love very much. I play the organ for church . . I will always be grateful to my mother for pushing me to learn the piano so well and now to have the privilege of playing the organ as well. I have served in many callings over the years and have grown from each one and met so many wonderful christlike examples of people.
