Hi I'm Holly

I grew up in a good family where I was taught the Gospel of Christ, strong values, good morals, and love for family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of six. I married my highschool sweetheart and it is hard to believe the wonderful life we have now, although it is full of challenges. My day is filled with house chores, feeding my family, changing diapers, dressing children, cleaning up messes, helping with homework, being a taxi and a gizzillion other daily chores that have to be done over and over. As my reward I get as many hugs as I want. I get to laugh often at the adorable or clever comments my children say. I get to have famly movie night. There is always someone to snuggle with. I get to go to parent/teacher conferences, enjoy school programs, sports games and band concerts. I get to teach all I can to my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am making memories that I can enjoy forever. Besides my family, I really enjoy reading, reading, reading. I love to visit new places. I enjoy going on dates with my husband. I love going on walks. I write in my journal every day even if it is just a sentence.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. I am a 6th generation Mormon. I have such gratiitude to my ancestors for the choices they made that has so influenced my life for good. I know I have had choices to make and I have chosen to follow the teachings of this church. I have, in faith, followed the teachings, and then have seen the incredible blessings that come from it. Although life continuously has challenges and heartaches, I know that by my choice of following the teachings of Christ, I do not have to take on the burden of so many added problems and heartaches that are a part of this world. I am a Mormon because I know that the teachings are true. I don't just say that because I have been brought up in the faith and it is just something that is said. I say that because I needed to find out for myself if this church is true so I took on the challege to do so. I have studied the scriptures, attended church services, put the teachings to the test, and most importantly, I have prayed in faith and in humbleness and I have received incredible answers over and over again. So I am able to say, with absolute certainty, that yes, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with all of its doctrines, principles, and teachings is true! It is true and it is real and I look forward to the day that I thank my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for giving me such an opportunity to be a part of this church.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a part of my every day life and I am so grateful it is. My family and I attend church every Sunday. During the week we have one night set aside for family night. We have daily family scripture reading and family prayers as well as daily personal scripture study and personal prayers. I have enjoyed being a part of many different organizations within the church. I have worked much with the young children . I have been a cub scout leader. I've had opportunities to work with the missionaries. I have worked with the women's organization and the young adults. I get to visit ladies from the church every month as well as recieve visits from ladies every month. I've had the wonderful opportunity to provide service whether it be bringing in meals to families who are in need, babysat for mothers in distress, or contributing to service projects. I have also been on the receiving end of such kind, generous, and loving services. As I live my religion, I see the blessings that come from putting the faith forward and the effort in. The more I am involved, the more I want to be involved. I love to make my children a part of this church. They are involved in the boy scout program, in service projects and in delivering meals. They have the opportunity to say the family prayer or the meal prayers. We all have opportunities to contribute to the teaching process in our church services. I feel a constant desire and motivation to be active in my faith because I know it is Christ's church. He organized it through his prophets and I see the incredible way that it works because it is His church and I feel it a priviledge to serve Christ by serving in His church and living the way He is guiding me to live. I am unable to fully express my humble gratitude for the opportunity to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints--a Mormon. The lessons I have learned are priceless. The opportunities I have been given are invaluable.
