Hi I'm Spenser

I'm a true Washingtonian. I love my wife and family, I love nature photography, Spanish and education and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my baby boy and I am happily married to my best friend that i have known since Jr. High. I enjoy living in the great Northwest and all that it has to offer, namely: the ocean, hiking, biking, cool climate, camping, evergreens, the mountains and the opportunity to take pictures of all of the above. I am just about done with my bachelors in Spanish Education with a minor in ESL and hope to teach high school. I hope one day to go into administration as a principal. I have always believed that the role of teacher is one of the most admirable professions in existence, and none did so better then Jesus himself. My love of Spanish and language comes from the 2 year mission I served in Oaxaca Mexico, which dearly and sincerely helped me on the path to become the kind of man, husband and soon to be father that I hope to be. Family is the most important thing in this world to me and I feel that the measure of a man is how he treats, provides for and cares for his family.

Why I am a Mormon

A key principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ is: Agency. I'm a Mormon because my mom and dad have always respected my agency and supported me in all of the endeavors of my life. My mom was raised in a Mormon family and my dad was raised in a Catholic family, but as a child my mom always brought me, my brother and sister to church with her. My dad has always been my biggest supporter in everything I do whether that be serving a 2 year mission in a foreign country or being at my wrestling matches. My brother decided that church wasnt for him and although it was hard, my mom gave him the choice. I am a Mormon simply because i chose to be. The things I learned as a child and young adult moved me in a way that nothing else on this earth has ever come close to doing. I know now that this is the Holy Ghost, which Christ said he would send in the Fathers name and that it would testify of the truthfulness of all things. I am Mormon because I believe in the Savior Jesus Christ and I have come to know that only through him can we be truely saved. I

How I live my faith

I try to live the Gospel to the best of my ability. I try to follow a quote my grandmother told me "Live in such a way so that people who don't know Him(Christ) will want to because of knowing you" in essence Try to be like Jesus and others will come unto Him. I strive to live my life in a way so that others can see the light of Christ through me. Whether this is helping the poor or just being a good and honest employee, I sometimes fall short, but I sincerely hope that the way i live my life can lead someone to Christ so that they can know the peace and love that none other can give.
