Hi I'm Lyndsey

I've traveled the world and I love all the friends I've made along the way. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large militarty family and got to see the world at a young age. This ignited in me a fire for travel and cultures and I've spent the years since Highschool traveling North and South America. I am the biggest people person you have ever met I can't live without tons of people and friends in my life and I LOVE that my friends come from every walk of life. My friends ARE my family and they have taught me so much in my journey. If I'm not Working (Retail) or with friends I'm usually knee deep in mud in my vegetable garden or glued to the computer doing genealogy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am pleased and blessed to say that I was born into the Mormon church. However you need to know that I've never been the kind of person that followed the crowd and did exactly what was expected of me, ask my parents. I went through a faze of needing to know everything that I thought I was missing out on. I studied multiple religions, talked endlessly with my peers and read anything I could get my hands on about world religions. Only to be led back, time after time, to the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is inspired Scripture written by Prophets of God. I know because I've read it. I know because I find answers to lifes trials in it's pages. I know because I've asked God and I've recieved an answer that it's true. I'm not Mormon because my Parents are. I'm not Mormon because it expected of me. I'm Mormon because I know it comtains the truth.

How I live my faith

I'm so lucky! I recently served an 18 month mission in Ecuador and since I've been back I've been working with the local missionarries as a missionary with the Young Single Adults in my area. I get to go out from week to week to help teach with the missionarries and I rotate giving Sunday School classes on Sundays with other missionarries. I love teaching the gospel mostly because I love learning about the gospel and I feel like the more I teach the principles the more I understand it.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

I think I speak for the majority of Mormon women when I say that we are a lot like all the other women out there. We love our families and want the best for them. We serve our communities and neighborhoods. We like to look pretty and wear fun and fashionable clothing. We serve in leadership positions at Church and we help the Male leaders in planning events, teaching lessons and asissting others in need in our own congregations and communities. I love being a Mormon woman raised by a beautiful Mormon woman that taught me the importance of cultivating my own testimony. She along with my sweet Father taught me about equality and love through example. Mormon women are in one word AMAZING! Show more Show less
