Hi I'm Joyce Turner

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I'm a wife and mother of 5. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Phoenician. I have lived in Arizona my whole life. I met my husband here and I am now raising my family here. I would rather beat the heat then brave the cold! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite vacation is going on our big family trips to the beach houses in Newport Beach California. I love to be creative and brainstorm. I love to throw creepy Halloween parties. I love technology and hate it at the same time. I am one of few I know who doesn't have a blog or Facebook. I enjoy being active and being outdoors. I would rather work in the yard then do laundry any day!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother had the missionaries over to their tobacco farm in Kentucky back in the early 1900's. They soon joined the church, left their tobacco farm behind, and moved to Arizona. Because of my Great Grandfathers conversion, he payed with his life. My grandmother, mother, as well as myself, were all raised in the church. I feel blessed to have ancestors who were willing to make sacrifices so that I could have a life in the gospel. The Gospel has helped me to know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It gives me direction and purpose. I know when I get those goosebumps or that swelling in my chest that I am where I need to be.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of the church. I attend church weekly and work with the youth in my ward. I love being crafty, creative, and teaching girls about cooking, babysitting, health, sports, music, friendship and service. The people and girls I work with are amazing and they make me a better person!
