Hi I'm Corene!

Daughter. Auntie. Best Friend. Missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm Corene or well most call me CC! I just finished my mission in South Carolina. I firmly know that we each need three basics in life to find complete joy. The first way is found in the home with a loving family. I love being the baby of five children. I also love and adore being the auntie to two little rascals. Second is found in the Lord also known as faith. I love understanding that I am a beloved daughter of God and each day has purpose. Then lastly is to find joy in life through simple things! I love baking. Actually... I really just love food. Life is to be enjoyed.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is the one and only true church. The gospel gives purpose and a wonderful undrestanding of how all can return to Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives the change, hope, and lasting peace that everyone needs in this world. The gospel has given me strength in times of hardship and eternal happiness in times of joy. It's simple the gospel of Jesus Christ can heal us and help us feel God's love each and every day. This gospel means everything to me. It has promised me eternal joy and promises that my family is eternal. I know that this church is the same one Christ established during His mortal ministry thousands of years ago! I know that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. I know we can use the sacrifice that He made in the garden to His defeat of death to help heal our wounds and troubled hearts. By that eternal atonement, we can once again go back to our Father in Heaven. I know that a 14 year old young man went into a grove of trees and knelt down and prayed. He then was later on called the Prophet of the Restoration. I know that this Church is the only church that can also act in God's authority. I know President Monson leads the church in righteousness each day. I know The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ's divinity. I challenge all to read, ponder, and pray with a sincere heart to know it it is true. I love this gospel. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was born and raised as a member of the Church. When I was eight years old, I decided to be baptized. I never regreted that choice. I live my faith day by day. Being a member of Christ's Church is a life-long commitment. It is not just about accepting Christ as our Savior and then going on picking flowers. But it is about following His example each day. Christ said that we each need to "Come unto Him and deny ourselves of all ungodliness." Like I said... living my faith is a day by day or moment to moment choice that leads me to eternal happiness. This gospel is what brings me and my family the most joy. As long as I strive each day to focus on Christ and be better each day nothing is impossible. This gospel brings hope, peace, and eternal joy to those who live it.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe through a wonderful plan of happiness that families can be eternally together. The temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, you may see are cental in helping the family become eternal. My family has made wonderful promises with our Heavenly Father so we can be eternally together. I love my family. The Family is the sweetest joy of my life. I love a verse of a children's song as it states, "I have a family here on Earth, They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity. Families can be together forever through Heavenly Father's Plan. I always want to be with my own family. And the Lord has shown me how I can." It is true. Famililes are FOREVER through the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
