Hi I'm Alicia

I have one sister and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Up until the recent weeks,I spent my life thinking that all Mormons were artistic such as a singer or drawer. That thought constantly kept me down because I was not artistic in any way. I spent nights crying about the things talents I didn't have. I have now realized that not all Mormons are like this, I just happen to live in an especially talented ward. I know that I have talents of my own that are unique. My hope is to help someone find this about themselves; that they have more worth than they realize.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess you could say I was "born" into the church. My parents are not sealed since my father is Jewish. I have heard that converts wished they could have had the opportunity to be born into the church. I am here to say that the grass is not always greener on the other side. It takes just as much soul-searching and prayer to know about the truthfulness of the Gospel, and it was not easy.

How I live my faith

I am currently the president of my church youth class, president of my seminary class, and am a member of my stake youth planning committee. I am extremely grateful for all of the blessings these have brought me. I have grown as a person and so has my testimony.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

I wear either a knee-length, shoulder covered, dress or a skirt. We celebrate Christmas and Easter and other annual events such as birthdays and anniversaries. There is not restriction on what holidays members can or cannot celebrate unless they are in conflict with church teachings. (which hardly happens, if it does) Show more Show less
