Hi I'm Sammie Reagan

Child number two out of eleven children. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and I am attending a little community college in Arizona. I'm planning on majoring in Graphic Design since I love art. I love music and I love to write and sing songs. After I get my associates degree here at the community college, I'm planning on transferring to BYU to get my bachelors degree. I never graduated from high school because I was part-time home schooled, so getting some kind of degree is pretty exciting for me! I love hanging out with my best friend on the weekends and just being silly. I love to laugh and have fun. I love having the gospel in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, so I have had the gospel my whole life. But you can't rely on your parents testimony forever, so when I was about eleven or twelve I finally decided that I needed to really pray about it and get that testimony for myself. Since that time I have had a very firm testimony of this gospel. Especially going to college and hearing all of the professors warn us about the problems that are going on in the world and things that can damage our bodies and cause us sadness and misery...I just wish that I could stand up and say, "It doesn't have to be like that! Let me share some of the gospel with you!" It's amazing how much the church knew 200 years ago about how to live, when people within the past 20 years are just figuring out those same things. The church can bring you so much happiness and joy if you just live the way Heavenly Father has asked us to. I am blessed every single day by His hand when I live the gospel. I can not even imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

I got called last September to be a Primary substitute. I subbed every week until I was called to be a permanent Primary teacher for the 11-12 year olds. It has been wonderful to be around the youth! I love my calling. They all have such sweet spirits and we are all edified during class. It's as if they teach me more than I teach them, and I'm the teacher! I am also a visiting teacher over four women. Although it is sometimes hard to get ahold of them, they are so happy to see us each month when we visit, it's wonderful to feel the spirit when my companion and I are around them. I also attend Institute (church program for adults 18-30 years old) every Tuesday where we get to have an hour and a half long lesson discussing the gospel. It's so much fun to be among friends, and to be learning the gospel at the same time. I love it.
