Hi I'm Carly

I love physics. I love tennis. I love pink. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hiking in the Colorado mountains with my husband and two beagles is one of my favorite things to do. I love nature and being outside enjoying the beautiful landscapes and fresh air. Tennis is my number one sport to watch and play. I dream of going to Wimbledon some day. Teaching is in my blood. Helping others understand the thinking process involved with math and science only encourages me to do more. When I am not outside I enjoy reading and learning. Physics teaches us about how the universe works and allows us to understand how certain things work. Sometimes I sit there and do science problems for fun and my nerd side comes out. A nerd, an athlete, and a teacher all reside in my heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I see blessings from serving the Lord in my everyday life. I have come to understand the Atonement and the Plan of Salvation in the past few years with some of the trials I have gone through. There was a time when I thought the Gospel was not important and it took about a year to see how wrong I was. To compare how I have felt the past few years to how I felt during that year, right now I would never want to go back. I know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers. I know that Jesus Christ lives and has suffered for our sins. I know that President Monson speaks to the Lord. The Gospel makes me happy. It helps me to be a better wife and a better friend to those around me. It gives me joy in my life and I don't ever want to have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I currently help plan the monthly dances for the youth. We try to provide a fun, inviting, and safe atmosphere for those 14-18 years of age. I enjoy serving the youth because it allows me to get closer to those who will run our communities and schools in the future. The youth strive to be honest and the best they can be. They love other people and go out of their way to be nice to others. I am privileged to work with our future leaders.
