Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a wife, a mom, an English major, a pianist, an outdoor enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of two young children and am married to the man of my dreams. When my time is free to be spent, my favorite thing to do is read; fiction mostly. I play the piano and love Grieg. I run in the mornings and enjoy pilates. I recently started mountain biking which is my new favorite outdoor activity, in addition to camping and hiking or anything that takes me to the mountains. I graduated from college with a degree in English. I love being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon by great parents, was baptized at eight years of age, and grew up always believing that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. As I grew older, I never questioned my faith but wanted to be certain that I knew for myself that this church was true and that I wasn't just relying on what my parents had taught me. I started to look for confirmation and found it everywhere I looked. As I read the Book of Mormon, the Spirit testified again and again that it was a true book. If the Book of Mormon was true, as I knew it to be, then Joseph Smith had to be a prophet. And as I asked God if these things were true and if this was His church, He told me that they were true and that it is His church. The greatest thing about being a Mormon is knowing that God answers my prayers. All of them. Always. I know that God genuinely loves us, sent us to this Earth to learn and be tested, and has provided a way to return to His presence through our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know when my life has been difficult and scary or painful, that my relationships with Jesus Christ and our Father have sustained me, uplifted me and changed me. I'm a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ is my Savior. I'm a Mormon because I am happy knowing where I came from and where I am going.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to my children every day of how Christ would want me to live. I try to be a good neighbor and a good citizen. I currently teach the women of our church once a month during the women's group meeting. I also go Visiting Teaching once a month where I check in on the three women assigned to me to make sure all is well and share a spiritual thought.
