Hi I'm Jeanele

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I am a wife and a mother to 5 boys and 1 girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family. Since I was one of the younger children I became an aunt at the age of seven. I loved babies and I loved to play with my nieces and nephews. From my earliest memories my greatest wish was to be a mother. I met my husband as a freshman in college. We were married at the end of that year. Eight months later I became pregnant and had morning sickness so badly that I had to go to the hospital every week for the first 3 months for IVs because I was so dehydrated. I knew then that being a mother wasn't going to be easy and all happiness but I also knew it would be worth it. I have 5 sons and 1 daughter now. They are the joy of my life. I was sick with each one of them and the span of years between them kept getting larger. My last son was born 6 months before his oldest brother left on his mission. I have had children in all different stages of life all at the same time...mission, college, high school, Jr high, elemetary school and one at home. Now my two oldest are married, one is on a mission and one is in high school, one in jr high and my baby just started kindergarten. And I am a new grandma. There is nothing as great as hitting every stage of life at one time. Life is busy and complicated at times but the joy my family brings is unmeasurable. I am living my dream.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church. The gospel was lived in our home. I was taught about my Heavenly Father and Savior and had great parents as examples. The gospel has always made sense to me. I had a wonderful, loving earthly father and because of that it was not hard to feel the love of my Heavenly Father and to know that I was important to Him. He sent His only Begotten Son to die for us. He has given us scriptures and prophets to lead and guide us here on earth. He wants us to succeed. By living the gospel of Jesus Christ my life is filled with purpose, joy and happiness. I am an important part of His plan. I am His daughter. What a sense of security that gives me. My life has been blessed as I keep the commandments and give service to others. Trials don't pass me by but they are easier to handle when I know the Lord is by my side. I know I can rely on Him always. Even if I am not perfect He loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to make choices that will bring the spirit into my life. We start the day by praying together as a family and reading the Book of Mormon. I know this helps to strengthen my children and give them the confidence to face the world. I love and support my husband and strive to make our home a place of love and safety. At Church I help organize the women in our ward to provide service when someone has a new baby or surgery or any other event in their life that causes them to need a little help. Usually that just means setting up meals to be taken to the family in need. It is wonderful to serve others and help show the love Heavenly Father has for them.
