Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Colorado. I gave up my job in the dental field to be a stay at home mom and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After graduating from High School I went to school for dental assisting. After graduating that program I went to school in Idaho to get my prerequisite classes for dental hygienist. I married the love of my life and best friend. I worked to help put my husband through school. When we were expecting our first child, I felt that I needed to quit my job and put all my efforts into being a wife and mother. We have been blessed with two children so far, and are so grateful for them.I feel that being home with my children is the best job in the world, I wouldn't change it for anything. I feel that my life wouldn’t be complete without my children and husband. I’m grateful that I know we will be together as an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

Having grown up in this church, I guess in a way I always knew this was the true church, yet I still needed to have my own conversion to the gospel. After going through some hard times, I made an effort to finding out for myself what I believed. I devoted time to reading the scriptures and praying. I was filled with such peace and comfort and understanding that I knew that I am a child of our Heavenly Father and that He loves each and every one of us. Yet more importantly, He loves me and knows me as an individual. I know that He has a plan for each of us and makes it possible to return home to Him again. I'm so grateful that His plan includes our families. I am so grateful that I am able to be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by teaching my children about who they are and where we came from. I teach them about Jesus and all that he did and continues to do for us. I know that in order to be able to teach my children, that I must set an example first. I know that it is important to me that I live in a manner that is consistent with what I teach my children, and more importantly, in a manner that is consistent with Christ's teachings. In the church I am on the activities committee for our women’s group. Helping bring all the women together, regardless of our backgrounds or age, is a great blessing to me. I feel that having our weekly Sunday meetings and then our monthly women’s meetings is such a great way to help build unity, not only in our church, but also in our community. It’s a great feeling to know that where ever I go, I know that there are other's out there who believe as I do, and have the same values. I know that I am never alone.
