Hi I'm Lue. I'm a Mormon

I live in the Rocky Mountains and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a wife, a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of three boys and three girls. I am a retired administrative assistant (secretary). In my life time, I’ve worked as a waitress, a flagman, a secretary, and an electrical parts assembler. I’ve succeeded and I’ve failed. My time spent with my family is the most precious to me. I try to eat healthy, attend two yoga classes a week and walk four miles a day five days a week.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born with Mormon Pioneer heritage, but I was not baptized until I was 35 years old. My father was not religious and my mother was an inactive Mormon. My brothers and I learned about God and Jesus Christ by attending other Christian churches. Our grandmother sent the Mormon missionaries whenever possible while we were growing to teach us the gospel. When our daughter turned six years old, I knew that it was my responsibility to see that she and her younger sister received the gospel. I attended several of the churches in my town, but ultimately decided to try the Mormon Church. From the moment I walked through the door way I knew that I was home. I was baptized four months later and my husband was baptized six months after that. When you feel something is right in your heart, you know that it is true. Without the gospel and the strength that I receive knowing that I have Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who love me and are there for me, it would be very difficult to deal with the trials of life that we all must have. The knowledge that this time here on earth is for our benefit to learn and grow and knowing that we will be better individuals from these experiences, gives me faith and hope.

How I live my faith

I try to obey the commandments. By doing so, my life is better. Doing simple things such as reading the scriptures each morning and praying, gives me peace. Service is a very important part of living my faith. It is true that the server is possibly blessed more than the one being served. I know that I am not perfect. Following the teachings and example of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, helps me make correct choices. Each Sunday, I am given the opportunity to renew my covenants with my Heavenly Father. I am so grateful to Jesus Christ for his atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world.
