Hi I'm Liza

I was raised smack dab in the middle of 10 kids. I'm a mom of 3, a wife of 1 and I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a combined family. My dad died in a hunting accident when I was 6, leaving my mom to raise 5 kids. She remarried a man who also had 5 kids. Now I have 9 brothers and sisters who I often can't tell which side they belong to. I have 3 beautiful kids of my own and am married to a crazy triathlete who travels all over the country competing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have not found anything else in this world that brings me even close to the joy I find in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I haven't had a testimony my whole life, but little by little I have gained one through following the teachings of the Savior. I have no doubt that My Savior lives, loves me and knows who I am. My knowledge of the gospel is far from perfect, but each day I strive to become closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father by living according to His plan. I know that families are eternal and that some day I will see the Savior and my Father in Heaven again as I stand among loving family members who have helped me get there.

How I live my faith

I have had callings in about every facet of the church but find my true happiness teaching children. Right now I am in the primary presidency. I love being able to share my love for the gospel and my love for the Savior with these little people. They may be small, but sometimes I feel like their spirits are just bursting out of their skin. In Primary, the gospel is at it's purest, because that is where the purest spirits are. I truly believe that these little people are a stronger generation than any before them and they will be the best leaders this world has ever seen. I have the privilege of being over the cub scout program, which makes me smile just thinking about it. Watching these little 8-10 year old boys learn how to become men is an incredible experience. I know this is an inspired program and am so glad the church is so involved. I can't think of a better place for these little guys to be.
