Hi I'm Kelly Risenmay

I'm an Idahoan, a Farmer, I love Sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just a good ol' country boy. I grew up in Idaho on a family farm. Growing up on a farm was a great blessing in my life. It helped me to learn how to work HARD. Working along side my brothers was the best and helped me to learn to love my family. I loved it and would not have it any other way. I played football and did Track in high school and did well. I play lots of other sports, not to well, but I'm always up for a challange. I LOVE to enjoy life. I am an outdoor enthusiast. I love to hunt or just be out in the world... and I'm a Mormon!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was privileged to be raised in the church. My parents brought me up living the standards of the church. I have loved it all my life! I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the true church! I know that everyone's life can be improved through the blessings of the church. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Christ restored to the Earth once again. What a blessing it is to be a part of it!

How I live my faith

I'm currently a missionary in North Carolina! I love to spread the gospel to everyone! I know that it has blessed me in my life and love to see it bless others! My family was a great example to me on how to live the morals that the savior taught. I know that through living these standards i am blessed! I hope one day to have my own little ones that I plan to also raise up with these standards. I think that without them I would be way to caught up in worldly desires and just junk. I love the church, i love the Lord and all he did and does for me today, I love my family, and I love my opportunity to be a mormon.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Kelly Risenmay

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kelly Risenmay
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Like the Holy Bible it tells of the teachings of Jesus Christ and His prophets here on Earth. These prophets and events that take place in The Book of Mormon happened in ancient America. These prophets were commanded by the lord to take record of this time. The records were sealed up in a troubled time so that they could not be destroyed. It was translated and given to us recently through revelation of a modern day prophet. It shows us that we do have a father in heaven that loves each and everyone of us. It explains the plan that He has for us. It shows us that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the lords kingdom here on the Earth once more. Find out for yourself through your own reading and praying about this precious book of holy scripture. Show more Show less

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Kelly Risenmay
Mormons believe and follow our savior Jesus Christ. The teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, aka "Mormons", are equivalent to those teachings that our savior taught two thousand years ago. We teach and believe that Christ lives! He came, He lived, and He died for all mankind. He continues to lead us through inspired men called Prophets just as he did in ancient times. You to can receive a testimony of this through study and prayer. I encourage you to do so! You will be showered with blessings! Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Kelly Risenmay
Throughout the world there are missionaries who have been called to preach the gospel. They are willing to come into your home and share the restored gospel to you. Through mormon.org you can request a personal visit by them. They are not perfect teachers so they may not be able to answer all of your questions but they will be able to simply share what we know to be true. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kelly Risenmay
Not only because it is fun, but more importantly because we have found that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the lords true church. In the final chapter of John we read that the savior taught His disciples to "feed my sheep". How do we feed his sheep. Well this is missionary work. Missionaries go door to door because they are seeking people that are interested in learning about the restoration and coming closer to their savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Kelly Risenmay
The amazing growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is because of the truth of the message of the restoration. The fullness of the gospel of Christ is here on the Earth. It will continue to grow until it has filled the Earth. The full teachings of Christ are found within this church. Show more Show less
