Hi I'm Kevin

I grew up and live in Alaska. I sing, write, and play the bass. I am a romantic through and through. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kevin from Alaska. I am one of five children. I love to sing, orchestrate on the double bass, travel the world, eat Indian food, rock some video games, and hike and ski the snowy peaks of the Aleyaska. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

While I may have been born to "goodly parents" who knew the gospel and follow it faithfully, it was not until I served as a full-time missionary in India that I truly understood, or more accurately, piece together what was already there, my personal conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through sincere and heartfelt prayer, I found that our Heavenly Father really does love us and wants nothing more than for us to be happy. The beauty of the Gospel is that it is so simple; God loves us so he has given us every means to be happy now and for all time and eternity. The teachings found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are not just a set of difficult standards with a temporary mandate; I know this church has been restored by the Lord himself through a living prophet, is led by the Lord through a living prophet today, and will bring anyone who honestly seeks God's will closer to Him on their journey through life. I know because of simple truths. God does answer prayers, and he will answer yours.

How I live my faith

I love to fill the world around me with music. Song opens the windows of the soul and reaches deep into the most sincere feelings of an individual. Whether I am joined in a symphony playing the double bass or enrolled in a choir pouring out my heart in song, I find myself closest to God when I bring music into the lives of others. While serving as a missionary in India, I discovered that the language we as humans speak may not be the same but all people can share a song in their ears and their hearts to create lasting bonds. Music and healing are divinely related, and I plan to link the two while I study to become a physician and bring much needed aid to the underprivileged.
