Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story I came into the church kind of like up side down and backwards I received an answer to my prayer concerning where would be a good place to raise my children with good standards and integrity, it was my visit to the Denver Temple I had received this answer, I had been praying and investigating many churches and pondering deeply what each taught and what I felt while in each but none seemed to satisfy my needs fully, it was while walking the quiet halls of the house of the Lord I heard my answer “welcome home look no further” later I was given a Book of Mormon and began to read it comparing it’s text piece by piece with my King James Holy Bible, my conclusion was this too was the word of God On my baptism day I receive a lot of grief from in-laws and fair weather friends I had made a lot of mistakes in my life and I desired as the scriptures clearly teach to Be “clean” to have my slate wiped cleared with God on that very day the water heater shut down and would not work and the concern was will we have to reschedule or not I made the decision I will challenge it no matter what and that is when something wonderful happened to me the water was warm the water heater was still not working but It felt warm and inviting to me when my foot touched the water and as I slowly entered I felt an answer come to my heart that filled me up with so much joy I could hardly contain my self the answer was “ God was pleased with my choice “

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday I serve in my current callings in church I am a supervisor for visit teaching and I lead the music in the Relief Society this is a womens group in my church. I have not learned how to read music and I don’t play any instruments all I have music-wise is my voice it is alot of fun

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Leona
some may feel sad about my loss of my children but the only honest response I can give about this is my children are not "lost" to me I did not lose them like I would lose a pair of glasses or some other thing I know exactly where they are and I know I have family on the other side of the veil looking after them until the day we are reunited once again when Jesus Christ comes to earth again I know my son would not have made such bad choices had he had been in his right frame of mind and I know that once he got to the other side his mistakes became clear to him and he has repented for his wrongs this is the wonderful part of the restored gospel is that simple second chance Show more Show less
