Hi I'm Adam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to Tammy and we were married in the mesa temple in 2009. We have a 4 month old son named Brody and he is my world. I graduated in 2010 with a bachelors in Construction Management and currently work for a utility company doing Project Management work. I love everything about football "Go Dolphins", baseball "Go D-Backs", basketball "Go Lakers" and i love bowling, golf and broom hockey.

Why I am a Mormon

In 2008 I met a girl named Tammy through my roommates at the time. My roommates and Tammy met through EFY when they were in high school. I spoke to Tammy but at the time I had a girlfriend and Tammy headed to BYU for school. A year later Tammy came back from BYU and she found out that it was my birthday so she decided to back me some cookies and from that point we started to talk. At the time I did not know she was LDS I just knew that she could not hang out on Sundays and in order for me to see her I decided to go with her to church just to hang out with her. As I continued to go with her I started to ask questions and so Tammy took me to the visitor center to watch some videos about Joseph Smith as well as to see the temple. After the movies the sister missionary asked me if I wanted to take the discussions and I said sure not knowing what I was getting into. The next day the missionaries were waiting for me to get off of work and I was like wow that was a fast response. I took the discussions for 3 months and that third month the missionaries asked that I should pray about a baptism and so I did. I had a dream that night that the month of November was going to bring me happiness but was not too sure what it was going to be. The next discussion the missionaries said “what does November look like for a baptism” and that I should pray about that month but when they said that I knew it was meant to be. I was baptized in November 2008 and a year later Tammy the woman that introduced me to the church I married in the mesa temple. I am a Mormon because when i was taking the discussions i found the true church and the feeling that had and still have is a testimony of how much i love this church and how true the Book or Mormon is.

How I live my faith

I received my first calling in 2009 when I was asked to teach 7 going on 8 year old primary kids with my wife and wow that was such a great calling. I just became a member and with this calling I felt like I was starting from the beginning learning the root of the church as well as songs and it was just what I needed. The next calling I received was to be the building scheduler as well as assistance clerk but my current calling is by far the best calling ever which is first counselor in young men’s and I love teaching and hanging out with the teachers and showing them the right way. Being a part of the young men’s is a way that I can share my conversion story and let them know that a mission is the best thing to do because if it was for missionaries that I would not be able to enjoy this beautiful church and receive all the blessings that I have now and as a LDS member we want everyone to have that in their life. I enjoy doing community service for others and now that I have a different outlook on life I find myself helping others more than myself.
