Hi I'm Roger

I was born in New York. I was raised in Taiwan.

About Me

I was raised in Taiwan, finished school there till midle school, and came to United States for high school and college. I have one older brother and one older sister. I like music. I like singing, playing violin and piano, sometimes guitar. My favorite instrument is Chinese flute. I love playing Chinese flute! I like to pretend. I pretend that I am not shy at all. I pretend that I am cool. I am actually not cool. But that's ok, because I usually do a good job pretending.

Why I am a Mormon

I was the only member in my family that was not a part of the Mormon faith. I have always been a positive person and was already happy. What could this Gospel do help me to be happier? Plus, I personally did not want to changes or committ anything for the rest of my life. Although I had hold-ups I loved the influence that the church has brought to my famly! It was amazing! Not like my family was not content, but the relationships between my family members became enhanced so much. There were more love, more harmony, more delight. Everyone was more appreciative and understanding of each other. In addition, there were less argument and contention. After the conversion of my famiIy I, still on my spiritual journey, traveled to the U.S. to attend high school. Durring my time in the U.S I lived with three different hosting families, which all happened to be Mormon. This allowed me once again to see the blessings the church has on families, I LOVED IT! During this time I made lots of Mormon friends. Onec again I found out that these people where just normal but happy people and I started to want this in my life. I was baptized in 2009, not really with a very firm testimony of God but just with the little desire to know Him and to receive the blessings that He gave my family. I can never forgot the good feeling that I had when I was baptized and confirmed. I now know that it was the feeling of the Holy Spirit. Ever since my baptism, I have been able to feel the Holy Spirit more and more in my life. It's the best feeling in the world! Warm, comfortable, intense, but peace. I have never regreted about my decision to be baptized! Being a Mormon and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ have changed my life. Following all the commandments seems to be hard, but the blessings following that is truely amazing. Before I was a Mormon, I was happy about my life. Now as a Mormon, I am still happy about my life. I am, however, happier with increased purpose, peace, and hope.

How I live my faith

Right now I am doing the best thing in the world! That is to share the joy that I have gained with others!
