Hi I'm John

I grew up in Florida. I am serving a mission in Spokane, Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Florida and love it there! I think the beach is awesome and there is always something fun to do. I am the oldest of 3 children. My brother and sister can be very annoying and I don't know what I would do without them. I have played the French horn for 7 years and the piano ever since I can remember. I love to make good things to eat, even if they are a challenge. I want to travel as much as possible and see the world. I am currently serving a mission in the Spokane, Washington area and love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family is very active in the church. I chose to be baptized because of the blessings that the gospel brought to our family. My dad was a convert to the church and I knew if the church changed his life, it could change mine as well. I want to be happy in this life and be my best self, and the gospel of Jesus Chirst provides that for me. I believe with all my heart the Church that Jesus Christ organized has been restored to the earth, the Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that we have a living prophet on the earth today. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith to the best of my ability by following the example of Jesus Christ. Life is not fair or easy and sometimes not too fun, but as I strive to do what is right I can always make it through. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me so many blessing and I want others to receive those same blessings as well. I dedicated two years my life to serve a mission for the church in Spokane, Washington to tell everyone the reason of the hope that is in me. Sharing the gospel has brought me such joy and satisfaction in my life. The more I learn about the gospel I realize there is always room for improvement. Living my faith is not just something I do at church or while on my mission, it is my lifestyle!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

John
We baptize our new members because we want EVERYONE to recieve the blessings of the Restored gospel. Baptism is an essential ordinance to enter the kindgom of God. These bessings can only come after baptism by proper priesthood authority. Baptism is also essential prior to receiving the most wonderful gift of all, which is the Gift of the Holy Ghost. We want all who are desirous to receive this gift so they too may have even more guidance from our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
