Hi I'm Kathy

I am a mother of 4, grandmother to 12 and a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 (2 great sons and 2 wonderful daughters), 12 grandchildren who I adore. I am a nurse and wife too. I like to spend time with my family, garden, read, bike and take walks. I am also working on publishing a book on my family's history.

Why I am a Mormon

My family joined the church when I was 3 years old. My mother was looking for a church she could raise her children in. We had some neighbors who were Mormon and my mother asked them about their church and what they believed in. We visited their church and my mother really liked what it taught and what it stood for. I am still a mormon today because of the happiness and peace I feel by living the teachings of Jesus Christ taught in the Book of Mormon and Bible taught by our church. I feel I am loved individually and unconditionaly by my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I will be going after I pass through this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving the same love to others I feel I receive from my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I try to share this love with others everyday at work as a nurse. I hopefully make their days a little brighter through my interactions with them. At home I try to be a loving person as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I try to make my home a warm, inviting place to be. Just recently we had a neighborhood Bar B Q in our back yard. We had a wonderful time getting to know our neighbors better and offering help and suppot to them if ever needed. Currently I teach a family history class at church. I really love teaching others about the importance of families. I am also a visiting teacher. This involves visitng 3 ladies from my congregation once a month, offering friendship and any help they may need. I also share a short lesson on some principal of the gospel at each visit.
