Hi I'm Lucy

I grew up in the Island of Tonga. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Now I live in Denver Colorado.

About Me

I was brought up with great parents and was very active in the Catholic Church. Went to Catholic Schools and graduate from Tonga Teacher's Training College in 1970. I was married to a wonderful and loving husband, name Toni Solway Vainuku, who I miss so much. We have one adopted son, Makaloni Paletu'a and he is known as Malcolm Shield, one daughter, Theresa Paula, and three boys, Sione, Solway and Pauliasi. I have 13 grand children. I have three brothers and three sisters. I love my family. I am proud to be Tongan. I am also very bless and proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I do believe in God the Eternal Father and in His son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I believe in the Restoration of the Gospel and the Book of Mormon. I was raised by great parents and great family who believe in God and love to go to church and help others. But now I am so grateful that I learn more about Heavenly Father and Jesus and belong to the only true church of Jesus Christ who have a living prophet and have the power of priesthood and do believe that the Book of Mormon is another testimony of Jesus Christ and it is a great Book that teach me more how to live righteously and closer to Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for the temple and all the work we do. I have done the work for my mom and dad and my grand parents and great grand parents. I am working now on the line of my mother and dad sides. I love my family and love to help them as much as I can but the most is trying to set examples and wish they follow me in everything I do. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint make me more happier in my life. I know we all face different trials but giving our life to God and so thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. When I was raised up in Catholic Church we learn about so many saints. I love Joseph Smith and he is a saint. Through him we have the Restoration of Gospel and the Book Of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love my ward they are my family too. I take any calling my bishop gives me. I love to serve. Being in the Nursery now is so fun to learn and help little one to learn about Jesus and fun to help them share, help one another and be reverent in church. It is so fun loving them and the way they are around every Sunday. So cute when we meet in the store or in public places, how happy when we see each other. They are so cute and so loving.I love to help others when they need me. My visiting teachers are so wonderful and they are my best friends. Everyone in the ward are my family and friends.I love my bishop and everyone in my ward. Self Reliance, do what is right, help others to have better life are strongly my goal in life.
