Hi I'm Jill

I’m stubborn. I am a future teacher. I love to laugh. I have way too many blonde moments and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I dream of becoming a Special/Elementary Education teacher and a cosmetologist. I love working with children, they bring so much joy and happiness to my life as I watch them learn and grow. I currently work and go to school both full time. I love my family and couldn't image my life without them. My family loves to make fun of my many blonde moments. I love hot/spicy foods and no matter how nice of a resturant I go to I will order hot wings. I am that crazy girl that takes the lid off the pepper shaker cause I can't get enough pepper out. I love traveling. I drive too fast and drink Dr. Pepper almost everyday. I'm proud of my German heritage and I am as stubborn as they come. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I knew from a young age that the gospel was very important to my family. I was able to see through the faith of my parents that they knew without any doubt the church was true. It wasn’t until I was 15 that I challenged myself to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know for myself if the church was true. I always knew in my heart that it was true, but I wanted to truly know and understand why I felt that way and figure out if it was something I would always want in my life. From that experience and many others, I know with surety the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and there are living prophets on the earth today. I think the biggest misconception of Mormonism is that we do not worship Christ. We do. I believe in Him. I know of the sacrifice He made for me. I know God answers prayers. I thank Him every day for the life he has given me. The challenges and trials I face are so much easier when I can turn to the Lord and patiently wait as He leads me through them. I know if I waited any longer to turn and find out for myself if the church should be in my life I would not be the person I am today. This gospel is life changing. It is amazing and I cannot picture my life without it. The one thing that has made me the most happy in life is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying every day. I read the scriptures and apply them to my life; I find peace in the scriptures when I am going through the littlest of trials. I also live my faith by going to church and serving as much as I can. Some think we have these crazy “rules”, but they are not rules to me. I am given standards I can follow to make my life better - they are my choice. I am happier because of them and strive to live by them everyday. I live every day knowing I am a daughter of God.
