Hi I'm Jason

I am a skier, a soccer player, and am an involved student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Jason. I like to play soccer, ski, play tennis, and be involved at school. I love to play board games with my family and my favorite subject is math, but I hate English. I am planning on attending BYU and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I went to church because my parents went. But after I got baptized and felt the spirit I knew it was true. I knew it was going to be hard because those at school are not always kind, but if it's the truth it's worth fighting for.

How I live my faith

Everyday I do my best to have scripture study. I also attend church regularly and try to go to the temple as much as possible. I volunteer in my community by helping with service projects for those in need. I want to go on a mission so I am doing my best to live worthily to be able to go on a mission.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

We believe that God has given us everything, from the air we breathe to the ability to provide income for ourselves, whether it be through physical labor or mental capacity. For me, giving only 10% back of everything I have been given isn't too hard when I put it in that perspective. I have a firm testimony of tithing. I have been very blessed my whole life, and I have always paid my tithing. My family is by no means rich, but we have never been left without food or clothing or housing, and we always pay our tithing. Another thing I find intriguing is that the state of Utah, known for its high concentrations of LDS people (Mormons), is also known for its outstanding prosperity. I always find this to be a testament of the law of the tithe because even after paying an extra 10% of their income after taxes, they are more prosperous than many others. I believe and have experienced that these are all blessings that come from the law of the tithe. Show more Show less
